Since the band’s
beginning in 1998, Creeping Death has progressed to become one
of the top metal tribute acts in the US. Creeping Death has played
several major cities including: Seattle, San Francisco, Tucson,
Las Vegas, San Diego, and Los Angeles. The band has rocked audiences
up to 8,000 people at festivals and clubs. In 2001, Metallica
members Kirk Hammett and Lars Ulrich joined Creeping Death on
stage for a six song jam session for the first annual “Metallibash”
fan convention that Creeping Death was hand-picked to play and
has played every bash since. Band members hold endorsements from
Paiste, Tama and more. Media coverage includes a feature in the
video documentary Rock Warriors: Metallica: An Unauthorized

Meet
the members:
Bill
Warren as James Hetfield – Rhythm Guitar, Vocals
Bill, a long time veteran of the LA music scene, utilizes his
performance experience to recreate the look, sound, and stage
presence of James Hetfield. From Hetfield’s growling vocals
to his lightening fast rhythm guitar skills, Bill has worked hard
to emulate every characteristic of the Metallica front man. Bill
is also an accomplished bassist of eighteen years and plays in
the LA based Ozzy Tribute “Mr. Crowley.”
James
Moore as Kirk Hammett – Lead Guitar
James co-founder of the band, takes pride in emulating Kirk Hammett’s
shredding guitar leads. He has played guitar over 14 years while
studying music theory at the college level in addition to immersing
himself in private lessons of the following styles: flamenco,
classical, rock, blues and metal. This gives James the foundation
to pull off a convincing Kirk Hammett live experience. The surreal
moment for James was to meet Kirk Hammett who gave him the “thumbs
up” after watching him pull off the solo to “One”
at the first annual Metallibash.
Pat
Magrath as Lars Ulrich – Drums
Pat reigning from San Dimas, CA has many credits under his belt.
Pat has played with bands such as Fear, Slayer, Prototype, Killing
Culture and is currently also playing in the OC punk band receiving
much acclaim, Amerikan Made. Lars Ulrich being one of his major
influences and it shows. Few local professional drummers have
the skill, finesse and timing that Pat provides effortlessly.
Pat has taught drums and has for over 10 years. He is the co-owner
of Unchained Rehearsal/Recording Studios in San Dimas, CA where
he can be found rehearsing, recording or teaching.
Robert
Amos as Jason Newsted – Bass Guitar, Backing Vocals
Robert presents the essence of Jason Newstead like no other. The
look, attitude, playing ability gives no question that when on
stage he lives Metallica in every sense. A true fan of early Metallica
he strives to create the most authentic representation possible.
Robert is quoted as saying “I want people to feel as if
they just saw Metallica in their heyday!”
Creeping
Death is a tribute to the legacy of early Metallica, with the
endorsement of Metallica. With that said, when you can’t
get Metallica, Creeping Death is THE alternative.
